Greg Morrison Appointed Executive Director of the ASRT Museum and Archives

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The American Society of Radiologic Technologists has appointed Chief Operating Officer Greg Morrison, M.A., R.T.(R), CNMT, CAE, as executive director of the ASRT Museum and Archives.

In addition to his duties as COO, Morrison will be responsible for the planning, design and completion of the museum. He also will oversee operations for the museum, which will open in 2015.

The 4,500-square-foot museum will tell the story of ASRT and the radiologic technology profession through interactive displays, research archives and educational exhibits. The mission of the museum is to deepen the appreciation and understanding of the radiologic technology profession and to inspire further learning.

"Greg was instrumental in ASRT's recent building expansion, where he coordinated the initial design and construction of the museum space," said ASRT Chief Executive Officer Sal Martino, Ed.D., R.T.(R), FASRT, CAE. "He also has extensive museum experience at the board level, making him ideally suited for this new role."

A nine-year member of the board of trustees for the National Atomic Museum Foundation, Morrison participated in projects like the capital funding campaign for construction of the new National Museum of Nuclear Science and History museum building. He was awarded emeritus trustee status by the museum in recognition of his volunteer work.

Morrison has more than 35 years of experience in the medical imaging profession. He is a certified association executive and holds a master's degree in management and human resource development from Webster University. Morrison has been with ASRT for more than 20 years.
