Philips Connects Clinicians to Patients in the Hospital and at Home

Barcelona, Spain - At the World Congress of Cardiology this week (WCC 2006) Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHI) is showcasing a range of advanced technologies that enable clinicians to provide their patients with the care they need, both across the hospital and in the home. The company is introducing a new release of its integrated cardiovascular information system to the European market, as well as demonstrating the commercial release of Motiva, its interactive healthcare platform, for the first time in Europe.

Today, cardiologists are facing the challenge of a dramatic increase in the number of cardiac patients that require treatment. In response, Philips has developed patient-focused technologies that enable cardiologists to act earlier, react faster and make more accurate treatment decisions.
