GE Healthcare Tops KLAS Rankings in Radiology, Pharmacy, Monitoring

WAUKESHA, WI. - GE Healthcare, a leading vendor of clinical, financial and administrative information technology solutions, has announced that its Radiological Information System (RIS), Centricity© RIS-IC, - has received a top recognition from the leading healthcare industry research and analysis firm, KLAS Enterprises*.

According to the KLAS Top 20: 2006 Mid-Year Report Card, GE's Centricity© RIS-IC solution is ranked No. 1 in the Radiology (Large) category. In addition, GE's Centricity Pharmacy solution ranked first in the KLAS Pharmacy category, and GE's Centricity QS Perinatal solution ranked first in Patient Monitoring Systems.

Our offering continued to lead in the indicators showcased in the mid-year report by topping the competition in "Technology Easy to Implement/Support" and "Works as Promoted."

Centricity RIS-IC delivers solutions that enable healthcare organizations to grow their imaging-based procedural medicine business through improved patient and physician access, streamlined workflow and reporting to the referring physician community. The KLAS Mid-Year Report Card reflects healthcare information technology company and product performance data as reported by integrated delivery networks, large clinics and acute care facilities. Companies included in the KLAS survey must have a focused and available healthcare solution as well as a participating client base large enough to produce statistically significant results. In a prior KLAS report, GE received top recognition for its Centricity© Pharmacy Information System "Best in KLAS" designation in the pharmacy segment in "Top 20: 2005 Best in KLAS."

This was the third year in a row that GE's Centricity Pharmacy system has received the #1 ranking in the KLAS year-end report. KLAS Enterprises, Inc. issues its annual rankings based on interviews with healthcare executives, professionals and clinicians at more than 4,500 acute-care facilities, large clinics and integrated delivery networks, covering a 13-month period ending in late 2005.
