EL CENTRO, Calif. - Vantage Oncology - Imperial Valley Cancer Center recently announced the addition of its newest radiation oncologist Siavosh Vakilian, M.D. Dr. Vakilian is board certified in Radiation Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He specializes in the treatment of breast, thoracic, lymphoma, and gynecologic cancers and is experienced in Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiotherapy (IGRT), Brachytherapy and RapidArc Radiotherapy.
Imperial Valley Cancer Center is part of Vantage Oncology which includes more than 50 cancer treatment centers in 14 states providing quality, personalized care in a community setting.
Prior to his arrival, Dr. Vakilian served as a radiation oncologist at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec (Canada) as well as an adjunct professor in the Department of Oncology at McGill University. In addition to his clinical duties, he was responsible for teaching residents and conducting research on gynecologic and breast cancers.

Dr. Vakilian received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology and his Doctor of Medicine degree from McGill University in Montreal. Dr. Vakilian's postdoctoral training included a residency in Radiation Oncology at McGill University.
