The CMS will reassign
work values to several CPT
codes for the Fee Schedule.
The 2007 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule erroneously assigned zero physician work values to several CPT codes (visit ACR web site for table).
Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) staff agree that this was an error and have indicated that the mistake should be fixed within the next two weeks. Although CMS will not reprint Addendum B of the 2007 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule, they will update the Excel version of the spreadsheet, which is posted on the CMS Web site. CMS also has made carriers aware of this problem.
