Omniscan has been associated
with Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis.
General Electric (GE) has alerted healthcare professionals in the U.S. about updated information that the FDA has posted about Omniscan.
GE Healthcare informs providers of new case reports that strengthen the association between Omniscan (gadodiamide) injection, a gadolinium-based Magnetic Resonance (MR) contrast agent, and the development of a serious medical condition called Nephrogenic Systemic Fibrosis (NSF), also known as Nephrogenic Fibrosing Dermopathy (NFD).
