The AccentHealth deal is one that appears to have appealed to both parties. "This deal will accelerate growth and innovation at the point of care to benefit the patients we serve, said Stone.

Likewise ContextMedia found the deal enticing. "The expanded presence of our platform will accelerate our ability to drive positive health outcomes at scale," noted Shah.

ContextMedia has been in a busy deal-making period of late. Also in November, it became an Affinity Partner with the American Academy of Dermatology. Its suite of digital technology will be offered to the AAD's members at no cost, according to a company statement.

"With membership that accounts for virtually every dermatology office in the United States, the American Academy of Dermatology is the driving force in improving health outcomes within dermatology," said Anil Harjani, vice president of strategic partnerships at ContextMedia:Health.

Also in November, the company struck a partnership arrangement with the Alzheimer's Association to provide rich content from the Alzheimer's Association's digital library to consultation rooms within relevant practices in its network of health care offices. Original information, including educational video, is also part of the arrangement.

In September, ContextMedia:Health announced that it would become the point-of-care partner with the American Lung Association to deliver and produce information and original video content about lung diseases such as asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer, as well as smoking cessation and healthy air information.

Also in September, ContextMedia:Health announced that it would be the exclusive provider of point-of-care digital educational information for the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG).
