TOSHIBA Introduces Virtual Explorer Workstation

NEW ORLEANS - Toshiba America Medical Systems, Inc. (TAMS) unveiled the Virtual Explorer 3D Workstation - designed to analyze magnetic resonance (MR) images of the heart - at the American College of Cardiology's annual meeting held in New Orleans, March 24-27, 2007.

Available today, the Virtual Explorer Workstation is a complete 3D, post-processing tool for MR analysis and display. The physician-friendly design offers a full range of features that will enhance MR imaging capability and functionality. The workstation comes with both the hardware and software necessary for a complete post-processing package. "Toshiba continues to offer new innovations to improve clinical performance," said Bob Giegerich, director, MR Business Unit, Toshiba. "With the Virtual Explorer Workstation, clinicians can achieve accurate 3D whole-heart imaging, which allows for quicker reads and easier diagnosis. Our customers have also noticed increased throughput and overall efficiency, due to advanced operating features of the software."

Key software features include: Viewer, 3D imaging, Perfusion (Brain), Cardiac Analysis (EF), Coronary Assessment and Delayed Enhancement.
