Kodak and MedLink Sign Co-Marketing Agreement

by Barbara Kram, Editor | April 17, 2007
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Eastman Kodak Company's Health Group and MedLink International, Inc. have signed a co-marketing agreement that positions each company to promote the other's medical imaging, information and software products throughout the United States.

MedLink will refer healthcare facilities interested in purchasing Kodak's CARESTREAM RIS/PACS and information management solutions-either as an integrated suite or as individual systems-and related professional services to the sales force for Kodak's Health Group.

Kodak will refer its diagnostic imaging center customers interested in acquiring MedLink's VPN and EHR solution to MedLink International. The Medlink VPN solution delivers radiology reports and related DICOM images directly to referring physicians' desktops via a secure network. Referring physicians will then utilize MedLink's electronic health record to view both current and past images and reports.

Kodak's CARESTREAM RIS (radiology information system)/PACS (picture archiving and communications systems) suite is a customizable solution that provides complete patient image and information management from order requests to the distribution of radiology reports and imaging studies to any authorized user in the healthcare network. Healthcare facilities will benefit from an integrated desktop solution that automates the various elements of the diagnostic exam process such as ordering/scheduling requests, diagnostic reading/dictation, transcription, results distribution and billing. Kodak's information management solutions include a flexible enterprise image and information management platform, along with Kodak-hosted management and regional information management solutions.

Kodak also offers an expansive portfolio of Professional Services that includes data storage and recovery; network design and implementation; help in complying with stringent HIPAA regulations; consolidation and management of DICOM and other information into a single logical archive; and integration of PACS with RIS.
