ECRI Institute launched its ValuVu automated product evaluation workflow solution today to help hospitals avoid what can be a labor-intensive and time-consuming task.
This is the first solution that integrates ECRI's clinical evidence analysis, safety and pricing data on a single platform. That includes evidence and outcomes on medical technologies, price benchmarks for supplies and capital equipment, third-party coverage data and supply alternatives.
ValuVu was designed with clinicians, value analysis coordinators and supply chain leaders in mind, to help them manage multiple projects faster and make more informed product decisions.

It captures all external and internal documentation related to product evaluations or other projects. The staff can vet products, run trials, vote and document results.
ECRI's new capital budget consulting service,
which was introduced last month, complements ValuVu with its independent reviews of hospitals' budgets and onsite decision support.
ECRI plans to officially debut ValuVu at the Association for Healthcare Resource & Materials Management Conference and Exhibition next week. Demonstrations will be available at booth number 837.
