WAUKESHA, WI -- GE Healthcare has announced that it was again rated first in Overall Service Performance among vendors for CT and MR service, according to IMV ServiceTrak(tm), a leading independent third-party research firm and owner of auntminnie.com. This marks GE's third consecutive year of achieving number one ranking in Overall Service Performance in its CT service business and the second straight year for its MR service.

"At GE, we're making personalized service a reality," says Mike Swinford, Vice President and General Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and Asset Management Services at GE Healthcare. "We are personalizing our customers' experience by delivering solutions that meet their specific equipment, department and enterprise needs. Our team of field engineers is focused on delivering an exceptional service experience that enables our customers to focus on their primary mission of patient care, while maximizing their return on investment over the lifecycle of their product."

In CT, GE ranked first in 18 of 34 categories and exceeded industry averages in 33 categories. In MR, GE ranked first in 14 of 34 categories and exceeded industry averages in 28 categories. The company demonstrated improved scores in 24 categories in both CT and MR compared to 2006. Among other categories, GE received #1 rankings in CT and MR for "Overall Service Performance," "Service Performance Relative to Charge," "System Ease of Use," "Ability to Upgrade Technology." and "OEM Service Engineer Competence and Attitude" -- including the strongest satisfaction rating for remote service.

"While we're proud of these results, we're still committed to investing and improving our service delivery significantly to meet the ever-changing needs of our customers," says Swinford.

The ServiceTrak report is an independent analysis of service trends in the imaging industry and has emerged as one of the most comprehensive and respected surveys in the healthcare industry. The CT survey was based on rankings of users representing 728 OEM serviced systems, while the MR survey represented 428 OEM serviced systems across the US.
