Imaging agent may
be in short supply
GE Healthcare has sent a letter to clinicians informing them of the disruption of production of CERETEC® (Technetium Tc99m Exametazime). The problem at their Gloucester, England manufacturing facility will result in a shortage, according to the American College of Nuclear Physicians.
The imaging agent is used to visualize cerebral blood flow and also to highlight white blood cells to identify infection and inflammation.
