Ugly teeth are a
very popular Halloween
accessory for
many costumes.
An official investigation is underway by the Consumer Product Safety Commission to see why some "Ugly Teeth" have levels of lead 100 times beyond the legal limit. These teeth were in high demand to add a scary touch to the perfect Halloween outfit; however, lead is extremely dangerous when ingested particularly by small children.
Many of these teeth have been pulled off the shelves of stores and a number (888-840-8066) is available for consumer inquiries. Most stores are offering full refunds.
