ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Carestream Health, Inc., recently signed contracts for its newest computed radiography platform with leading U.S. healthcare facilities.
The company's KODAK DIRECTVIEW Classic and Elite CR Systems are compact, single-cassette systems that deliver exceptional versatility and eliminate the need for additional units by supporting general radiography, long-length, dental and mammography exams (in countries where approved for mammography applications).
The following healthcare providers are among those that have placed orders for Carestream Health's digital imaging systems:
Axminster Medical (Hawthorne, Calif.) ordered two Classic systems.
Hermann Hospital (Hermann, Mo.) ordered one Elite and one Classic system.
Healthcare Midwest (Kalamazoo, Mich.) purchased a Classic CR system.
Inter-Community Memorial Hospital (Newfane, N.Y.) purchased two Classic systems.
Iowa Health Des Moines IMMC/BCH Campus (Des Moines, Iowa) purchased two Classic systems.
Kaiser Permanente (Honolulu, Hawaii) purchased four Classic systems through Hawaii Pacific X-Ray, an authorized distributor.
Lifetime Health (Rochester, N.Y.) ordered one Elite and two Classic systems.
Lockport Imaging Center (Lockport, N.Y.) ordered one Classic system.
Lockport Memorial Hospital (Lockport, N.Y.) purchased two Classic systems.
Swedish American Hospital (Rockford, Ill.) ordered one Elite system.
Tower Imaging (Alabaster, Ala.) ordered a Classic system.
Washington County Hospital (Washington, Ill.) ordered one Classic system.
"Our newest CR platform offers outstanding flexibility to meet the diverse needs of our healthcare customers in a variety of settings," said Diana L. The Elite CR system offers a throughput of up to 90 cassettes per hour, which includes loading, scanning, erasing and ejecting a 35 x 43 cm cassette. The Classic CR system features throughput of up to 69 cassettes an hour for a 35 x 43 cm cassette. Both systems incorporate Carestream Health's newest generation of CR operating software and enhanced image processing software. Automatic image rendering improves productivity by eliminating the need for technologists to identify each exam projection, while user-customized settings reduce the need for radiologists to make adjustments.
