Teladoc Health’s Solo platform for hospitals and health systems will soon be integrated with Microsoft Teams, a virtual hub used by physicians to work with colleagues and communicate with patients.
The combination is expected to streamline the technology and administrative processes associated with virtual care and simplify the way healthcare organizations and clinicians work.
“The ability to access Teladoc Health Solo directly through Microsoft Teams will allow clinicians the opportunity to seamlessly transition between business and clinical operations, freeing them of administrative tasks and enabling them to practice at the top of their license,” Joseph DeVivo, president of Hospitals and Health Systems at Teladoc Health, told HCB News.

Since the pandemic, health plans and health systems have adopted virtual work platforms like Microsoft Teams to care for patients and communicate with colleagues. Microsoft Teams connects clinicians and patients via video. With Teladoc Health Solo, clinicians using Microsoft Teams will be able to securely access clinical data, including within the EHR system, without having to leave the Teams environment.
Specializing in whole-person virtual care, Teladoc Health integrates primary, acute, chronic and specialty care to treat the whole patient at every stage of their health journey. Microsoft Teams is part of the Microsoft 365 family of products and includes access to documents, photos, videos, chat history, and meeting notes during calls.
