Dallas — Krysla Karlix has been named chief executive officer for Medical City Green Oaks.

A leader and administrator in North Texas behavioral healthcare for over two decades, Karlix joined the executive team at Medical City Green Oaks as chief operating officer in December 2016. Since that time, Medical City Green Oaks has expanded its ECT and telepsychiatry services, earned HCA Healthcare’s Unit of Distinction award for both adult and adolescent inpatient services and been ranked #1 within Medical City Healthcare for employee engagement and physician “Place to Practice.”

As CEO, Karlix will be responsible for all inpatient and outpatient operations related to Medical City Green Oaks, including the 124-bed inpatient hospital serving adolescents (12 and above) and adults, two outpatient clinics located in Dallas and Plano, 24-hour psychiatric crisis stabilization services and telepsychiatry services across the Medical City Healthcare system of care.

Karlix is an active volunteer with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). She earned a Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas A&M University.
