CIVIE has partnered with North Star Diagnostic Imaging to implement a unified radiology information and billing system across North Star’s 14 outpatient imaging centers in North Texas.

The rollout adds CIVIE’s radiology information system (RIS) to North Star’s existing CIVIE billing platform. Both tools are built on a shared codebase, designed to eliminate redundancy between clinical and financial operations. The move reflects a broader shift in radiology toward integrated IT platforms that consolidate workflows and minimize manual input.

The end-to-end platform links clinical events such as exam ordering and reporting with revenue cycle tasks, including coding, billing, and denial management. CIVIE says this structure helps reduce errors, eliminate data silos, and accelerate claims processing.

Operational benefits cited by the companies include real-time billing initiation, AI-assisted coding, rules-based workflows, and audit-ready compliance tracking. A shared data model across RIS and billing also enables consolidated analytics for monitoring clinical productivity and financial performance.

CIVIE’s cloud-based platform is available to imaging providers nationally. North Star operates across the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area and offers a range of outpatient imaging services, including MR, CT, mammography, ultrasound, and X-ray.
