Canon Medical Systems USA has entered into a reseller relationship with Boston-based Us2.ai that will make the company's artificial intelligence-based echocardiography software available alongside Canon's Aplio i-series ultrasound systems.
The agreement expands Canon's echocardiography portfolio by offering customers access to Us2.ai's cloud-based software, which is designed to automate echocardiographic measurements and reporting. The companies said the software can be incorporated into existing clinical workflows to help reduce manual tasks associated with echocardiography.
Echocardiography often requires clinicians to perform time-intensive measurements and generate reports manually. Us2.ai's software is intended to automate those processes and support more consistent assessments. Canon said the technology can be used with its Aplio i-series ultrasound systems, which are widely used for cardiac imaging.
