GE Healthcare Ultrasound Services Boosts #1 Ranking for Repurchase Probability

WAUWATOSA, WI - GE Healthcare Ultrasound Radiology/OB-GYN earned a #1 ranking for probability of repurchase in IMV ServiceTrak's 2008 industry report and #1 rankings in several other key service attributes. GE Healthcare experienced its biggest rating improvement in probability of repurchase, with 85% of respondents rating repurchase probability as "very good" or "excellent." Additional #1 rankings include those for availability of replacement parts, ability to upgrade technology and reliability of software.

Overall, GE Healthcare improved in 32 of 34 service attribute scores in 2008, receiving scores above the "very good" level for 22 of these rating factors. The 34 customer satisfaction categories included estimations of service speed, quality and follow-up; probability of repurchase; installation and training; software and hardware reliability and ability to upgrade technology, in addition to other categories. IMV ServiceTrak reports present an independent analysis of service trends in the radiology imaging industry.

In earning its #1 ranking for reliability of software, all six attribute ratings improved compared to 2007 and all six are above the "very good" level. Further, 87% of respondents rated GE's transducer probe reliability "very good" or "excellent." In the IMV ServiceTrak 2008 Service Factor Summary, GE Healthcare gained "fastest in the industry" status for emergency repair cycle time. Similarly, GE Healthcare engineers took the number one spot in speed of emergency service response times by phone, lab arrival and repair completion.

In terms of Help Desk phone support, GE Healthcare's percentage of time that a problem is diagnosed on the phone is 50%, which is higher than the industry average. In addition, GE Healthcare leads the industry in the percentage of time that problems are solved remotely, recording an increase over last year.
