Hi Philip,

We need basic medical equipments and supplies like stitching threads, bandages, antibiotics medicines, drips and intervienous antibiotic injections and other dressing equipments. We also need mobile xray machines. I reside in Canada and collecting required stuff needed by our partners working in pakistan in efforts releif. If we can get this stuff then we have arrangements to send all of this to Pakistan through PIA for free.

Thank you very much for your email and for your kind wishes and generous offer towards the earthquake victims. The earthquake has indeed caused havoc at a massive scale with entire communities, villages and even cities wiped off the face of the earth with no survivors.

The government of Pakistan and the International Aid Agencies and foreign governments have risen to the occasion and are doing their best to alleviate the suffering of the people. I am very very proud to say that the Pakistani Nation is standing as One in this hour of need and people are donating generously irrespective of their religion or social status. At the relief centers set up by the government and non-government organizations, people are delivering all kinds of commodities on bicycles as well as on Mercedes cars.

I am very touched by your very generous offer and feel very proud that I am a part of a community that is only concerned about alleviating human suffering irrespective of the color, creed etc. of the sufferer.

However, in my private capacity, I am not in a position to let you know of the immediate medical needs of the people and how much they are being fulfilled by the help teams already. The hospital that I own, has already sent out medicines, sugar, flour, mattresses, cooking oil, bottled water, tents etc. and although I know that the quantity is not very large, it is one of the many contributions pouring in and will make a difference.

I must take up on your generous offer and should not let this gesture of kind-heartedness go waste. I therefore request you to kindly contact the International Red Cross as they are the ones who are in the best position to let you know of the needs on the ground and are also capable and reliable for delivering your generous donations directly to the people who need them.
