Booth 7757
"The primary emphasis of our RSNA exhibit (booth 7757 in the back of the North Building) builds on the growing demand for digital imaging solutions in women's health; we'll be demonstrating Selenia workflow solutions for busy healthcare professionals," said Jim Culley, marketing manager.

New features of Selenia include the ability to share information between technologists and radiologists; multi-modality solutions allowing radiologists to review DICOM breast images from other diagnostic modalities simultaneously; image management solutions that provide high-volume, short-term storage of mammography studies and seamless archival integration with existing PACS systems; and powerful image analysis and manipulation tools including intelligent roaming and customizable image layout and orientation formats.

Interest in digital mammography is expected to be significant. The Hologic co-sponsored RSNA Digital Mammography Workshop (room E267 in the Lakeside Building) is completely sold out--over 900 RSNA registrants have signed up to take the course.

To highlight Hologic's expanding effort in serving the orthopedic and rheumatology imaging market, Hologic is featuring a new line, Skeletal Health products, that targets these markets, Culley reported. Hologic already has an extensive bone density and Fluoroscan C-arm imaging sales network in the U.S. calling on the outpatient imaging market. The recently announced distribution and service agreement with Esaote (Genoa, Italy) to sell and service Esaote's line of extremity MRI systems will build on this existing sales and service organization. Esaote pioneered dedicated MRI imaging systems and is the world leader in this product category with over 1,000 installations. Another product included in the skeletal health line and on display at RSNA is InSight, a mini C-arm X-ray system. InSight is designed to help orthopedic surgeons perform minimally invasive surgical procedures of the extremities, as well as for low-dose, in-office imaging procedures. The company now offers two lines of mini C-arms: InSight and Premier Encore.

Works in progress from the company will also be featured.
