Healthcare Act For Doctors

Doctors are being urged to become part of Accountable Care Organizations and other Medicare shared savings programs. These are risk-sharing programs aimed to better coordinate patient care and keep costs low for Medicare patients, and then share the savings they achieve with the government. Other payment models being directed at doctors under the ACA include bundled payments, which does away with tradition fee-for-service and instead pays doctors in a lump sum based on episode of care.
