In many respects, the law put an emphasis on better patient care. Hospitals are being scored based on patient satisfaction, prices are becoming more transparent for consumers, and patients are gaining more access to their patient medical records through technology. Patients also come out winning with access to free preventive care, reduced drug costs for seniors, and insurance coverage for young adults under their parent’s health plan.
