An imaging center in Costa Rica had two 1.5 T MRI warm magnets and in storage.
It researched its options online and found DOTmed. After a discussion with the DOTmed managed auction team, the center realized the global auction platform would provide the best exposure and opportunity to maximize sales income.
The Auction Team went to work, posting the offering and then contacting scrap metal vendors across the globe.

The seller was able to have the magnets packed into a container in Costa Rica and then shipped off to the port in Houston, Texas, where the buyers picked them up.
