Chicago, IL - Summit Industries, a manufacturer and marketer of diagnostic radiographic and digital equipment for the worldwide medical imaging markets, today announced that the Detroit Tigers have installed one of their AmRadâ„¢ Medical systems at Comerica Park to provide on-site diagnostic imaging capabilities for the players and staff. The x-ray system is marketed under the private brand, Merry X-Ray Integrity 1000, and will be used to screen and detect injuries for the Tigers players, team staff and visiting players.
"It is very important that we provide high-quality imaging services as part of our goal to offer the very best facility and service to all athletes. The system is easy-to-use and provides all the functionality we need to assist with diagnosis," said Kevin Rand, Director of Medical Services for the Detroit Tigers.
The Merry X-Ray Integrity radiography solution replaces the analog system purchased by the Tigers in 2000. The system features enhanced diagnostic image quality and will be used in conjunction with the Konica Minolta Image Pilot digital solution, which offers multiple methods to measure and control dose that optimizes exposure, a key consideration in healthcare today.
