BC Technical has expanded its diagnostic imaging services through the acquisition of Atlas Medical Technologies — a 13-year-old company out of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. and St. Petersburg, Fla., that specializes in pre-owned CT and MR systems and services.
"The acquisition of Atlas Medical Technologies brings a great addition to the BC Technical family," said Mark Alvarez, president and CEO of BC Technical, in a statement. "Atlas provides a wealth of expertise and experience to our team, which helps support our ongoing vision of being the only true OEM alternative."
The announcement from BC Technical described Atlas as possessing, "an exceptional combination of highly technical and quality-minded engineers." Skip Watkins, CEO of Atlas, and Ron Brewer, company co-founder, have both agreed to join BC Technical in leadership roles.

Watkins said Atlas has grown significantly over the last few years and is excited to join BC Technical, "We believe we will not only enhance the scope of support provided to our customers but we will also ensure that quality and cost-effective service support is extended to our existing and future customers."

West Jordan, Utah's BC Technical describes itself as the "only viable alternative to the OEM" and has been servicing medical imaging systems since 1995. In the past few years the company has acquired a large number of other companies including MEDX, Genesis Medical Imaging and C&G Technologies. In January of this year they
announced the acquisition of Virtual Medical Sales.
