Agfa HealthCare showed attendees at the recent American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons' (AAOS) 2007 Annual Meeting in San Diego, California its orthopaedic software tools in Agfa's Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Agfa HealthCare showcased their latest works in progress modules for orthopedic surgeons including spine planning and trauma modules. Agfa is also launching a new software tool to simplify complex orthopaedic measurements.
"The sixth generation of Agfa HealthCare's PACS solution, IMPAX 6.0TM, enables orthopaedic surgeons to optimize clinical and IT efficiencies. The solution offers improved access to digital images, specialized tools that support orthopaedic procedures, and flexibility in sharing information. The system enables optimized office workflow, resulting in cost-savings and enhanced patient care," said Mark Zdanowicz, marketing manager ambulatory care, Agfa HealthCare North America.
In addition, Agfa HealthCare is demonstrating the latest Computed Radiography (CR) systems with a full leg / full spine cassette holder, fully automated image processing and image stitching software, something that every digital practice should experience!
