A buyer in Mexico noticed that the unit was in better condition than others at a similar price and felt it was a great deal for the $3,500 reserve. Sold!
Stryker is a Hit
After a referral from a friend, Conni Tricoli of Pinion Orthopedics contacted DOTmed.com to help her sell a Stryker Video Endoscopy unit that had never been used and was actually still in its original packaging.
The unit was immediately placed into a Full-Service Managed Auction, which is the best way to bring more buyers to the table.
After a few auction cycles, Dr. Kusay Badri in Baghdad Iraq, showed interest in the unit. After his third bid, he finally reached the reserve price of $23,000.
Online Auction Specialist, Mark Colavecchio, worked with a freight company to arrange the logistics of crating and shipping to Baghdad.
Within just a few days, Dr. Badri received the unit as expected and was very pleased with the purchasing process through DOTmed.com and the white glove service he received.
Conni was very happy to have sold the unit and has expressed that she will contact DOTmed in the future when her clinic decides to sell more medical equipment.
DOTmed Develops a Success Story
Mike Winters, a longtime DOTmed user, had been holding onto excess film for Dry
Camera Lasers. He could not find any buyers or outlets to sell his equipment. After speaking with a DOTmed representative, he decided to Auction his equipment on DOTmed.com. After years of trying to sell the equipment himself, he successfully sold the Keib Film within two weeks through a Full-Service Managed Auction. Although it wasn't a big-ticket item, the quick success demonstrated the power of DOTmed Auctions - they reach more people than any other outlet.
Further, while he was hoping to get $1,000, Mr. Winters actually walked away with $1,440 and one less item to sell.
