As of the end of May, the DOTmed Auction Department helped generate sales of over $125,000 for the medical equipment and furniture that came out of these locations.
Various dealers and doctors are now the proud owners of this equipment that was in use for less than three months, and are looking to purchase more items.

A Blown Fuse Isn't a Blown Opportunity
Church Health Center in Memphis, TN, receives the majority of their equipment as donations. Of course, this sometimes leads to getting equipment that can't be used or is not in good working order. Both situations make working with DOTmed a great chance to turn unwanted equipment into revenue. That's why Mark Meeks from Church Health Center decided to give a DOTmed Auction a shot. Auction Specialist Colm Ford spoke with Mark about a Caldwell Sierra LT EMG that Church Health had.
Mark felt it was unlikely to get anything as the unit had a blown fuse on the main machine by the power cord. Efforts had been made to replace the fuse with no luck - so essentially it was a non-working piece of equipment.
Still, there are people needing parts, so an Auction was put together. The final day of the Auction introduced a bidding war between two individuals, bumping the final sales price up to $3750, sold to a bidder in Lincoln Park, NJ.
Gradient Gold
Kurt Anderson of St. Louis Air Express had received a Philips Medical Slave Gradient Amplifier for a client to pick up. However, neither the buyer nor the seller wanted the unit.
Kurt had been trying to sell the unit on his own for over a year with no success. Tired of having the unit take up warehouse space, Kurt turned to DOTmed for help in marketing the unit to more people.
His Phillips Medical Slave Gradient Amplifier was placed in an auction and received attention immediately.
There were a number of interested bidders and the unit eventually sold to a buyer in China on a DOTmed Auction for $15,000.
The worldwide open market DOTmed provides enabled him to find the perfect buyer halfway across the globe.
