After several failed attempts to recoup their investment, the company turned to DOTmed to try a DOTmed Full Service Auction.

In just a few days, the DOTmed Auction Team received several calls and emails from interested individuals.

One party sent an engineer to inspect the unit.

After a short visit with the facility, the decision was made to purchase the MRI. The Auction successfully closed with a winning bid of $327,500.

The company was very impressed with DOTmed's ability to help successfully sell this unit for more than double the offers they previously received. In fact, they were so impressed that they have given DOTmed.com an opportunity to auction a Philips Special Procedure room.

Ford Aids Auto Company

An automobile company in Ohio ran across an opportunity to sell a damaged

MX8000 CT Scanner as a parts unit.

Not knowing what to do, they reached out to DOTmed Auction Specialist Colm Ford, to promote the equipment to potential buyers using a DOTmed Full Service Auction.

After a week of marketing, the DOTmed Auction Team received heavy interest from multiple parties.

After the first auction cycle, the Auction received a high bid of $1,600. Colm convinced the seller to relaunch the auction because he knew the value of the unit was much more than that.

Even though the seller had a local offer of $5,000, he believed DOTmed would net more in the long run and gave DOTmed another opportunity. After the second auction cycle, the auction was successfully closed with a winning bid of $9,000.

Competitive Bidding Pays Off

Karen Keil, owner of Keil Clinic, recently closed her practice. She was left with a 2007 Lumenis One IPL Lightsheer Laser in practically new condition.

She shopped around but was not able to find offers over $10,000. Karen then contacted DOTmed looking for better offers for her equipment.

The Auction ran for just over a month and had over 10 interested parties.

Three serious bidders pushed the Auction bids all the way up to the final sale price of $32,000.

The open market place that DOTmed provides, along with the competition between bidders, netted Karen over three times her previous offers.
