A chain of imaging centers in the south had already successfully auctioned a Vision MRI and an ultrasound through DOTmed. Recently, they had a Siemens Impact Mobile to sell. The dealer/broker market was offering them around $18,000 to $23,000. Even though the machine was built in 1993, they guessed it was worth much more, so they again turned to DOTmed for assistance.
The coach had been fully refurbished two years prior and was in pristine condition. The auction team began promoting the trailer by making calls and reaching out to potential bidders. During the first auction cycle, the bidding got to around $28,000, but the seller wasn't in a rush to sell, so the auction team continued its efforts.

After about a month of promotional efforts and global exposure, the unit sold in auction for $35,000 to a group of doctors in Mexico.
Along with receiving a much bigger check than expected, the seller had an easy time with removal as well. The successful bidder traveled to the trailer location, added helium and brought it home.
