PicomPassport at RSNA
ScImage Inc. introduced PicomPassport, a tool that leverages the power of PICOM365’s Azure-based Cloud technology to simplify the importing of external patient exams to PACS, at the 2017 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual conference.

“Frictionless importing of external patient exams into departmental PACS remains a sticky process for most health care organizations, despite being a vital functionality that is required to avoid repeat procedures, ensure dose minimization and improve patient care,” Sai Raya, CEO of ScImage, said in a statement. “We are proud to present an efficient and cost-effective solution that addresses these issues.”

The technology enables external entities, such as facilities, physicians or patients, to initiate an exam upload request. Once upload authorization is obtained electronically, the user can then drag and drop exam data for immediate availability on Picom365.com.
