Radiology Partners and Banner Health
have teamed up to create
Banner Imaging
Banner Health and Radiology Partners have teamed up to establish Banner Imaging, a provider of high-quality imaging services located in the metro area of Phoenix, Arizona.
Consisting of 23 ambulatory imaging centers in Maricopa and northern Pinal counties, the wholly-owned subsidiary of Banner Health will offer a complete range of advanced imaging services, from mammograms to MR exams.
"In our environment, we all know that the traditional considerations will not meet the needs of our customers today or in the future," Jason Theadore, CEO of Banner Imaging, told HCB News. "As healthcare delivery continues to evolve, the customer is consuming healthcare differently than ever before. We are a customer-centric organization and want to meet the patient where they are, and Banner Imaging does that by offering close, convenient, affordable care."
Equipped with digital imaging technology and highly trained subspecialized radiologists, the facilities offer a patient-centered environment and plans to bring on nearly 600 employees from two companies under RP, East Valley Diagnostic Imaging (EVDI) and Valley Radiologists (VRL).
Expansion plans are also in the works to better serve the greater Phoenix market. The formation of Banner Imaging follows a number of collaborations established over the last few months with RP, including one in March that
made Dicom Systems the strategic provider of enterprise imaging for Radiology Partners, and two others that
expanded its reach in Texas and marked its entrance into the Nevada Market.
"I have had the opportunity to work with Radiology Partners in the past. I respect the fact that they keep operations local while creating a national platform on the value and quality of medical imaging in caring for all patients," said Theadore. "In regard to our local physicians, they have been providing excellent services to our communities for more than 50 years and have had a long-standing relationship with Banner."
Banner Imaging is providing care as of this week, and is in the process of gathering customer feedback from both patients and physicians to determine its next steps in its set up.
