GE HealthCare has introduced the Genesis portfolio — a suite of cloud-based enterprise imaging solutions designed to help healthcare providers streamline workflows, improve data accessibility, and reduce operational costs — at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) 2025 conference in Las Vegas.

The Genesis portfolio includes four key components: edge, storage, vendor neutral archive (VNA), and data migration. These solutions aim to help hospitals manage increasing volumes of medical imaging data while addressing financial and IT constraints. The cloud-based model enables providers to store, access, and share imaging data more efficiently while maintaining security and compliance standards.

“We are committed to delivering enterprise imaging solutions with our cloud-first strategy. Clinicians and caregivers want the latest tools to most effectively do their jobs, but organizations often lack the financial and IT resources required to access and implement them,” said Scott Miller, CEO of enterprise imaging solutions at GE HealthCare. “With the launch of the Genesis portfolio, we will be providing cloud-enabled solutions that can help transform patient care through accessible, sharable, and secure imaging data, while simultaneously improving clinical and operational efficiencies.”

A key component of the portfolio, the edge solution, acts as a bridge between on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring a secure and seamless data transfer process. The storage feature allows organizations to shift resources from data management to other IT priorities, while the VNA unifies imaging and enterprise content for easier access through electronic health records. Additionally, a partnership with Enlitic enables AI-powered data migration, facilitating more efficient transitions to modern cloud infrastructure.

Genesis solutions will be deployed on Amazon Web Services (AWS), GE HealthCare’s long-standing cloud provider. The company aims to triple its number of cloud-enabled products by 2028 as part of a broader digital transformation strategy.
