The White House announced today that health and human services secretary Kathleen Sebelius is resigning from her post.
Sebelius took office five years ago and oversaw the implementation of President Obama's signature health care reform law, including, most recently, the tumultuous rollout of the online health exchange portals.
President Obama said that he will nominate Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, to replace Sebelius.
