BC Technical has made no secret about its ambition to lead the pack for independent service organizations in the U.S. medical imaging industry, and a recent announcement suggests the company is increasingly realizing that objective.
As the health care industry as a whole continues to undergo tremendous consolidation, BC Technical has added another one of its former competitors into the fold — the company's fifth such acquisition of the year.
With a focus on MR and CT, the acquisition of MagnaServ Enterprises is expected to enable the growing company to strengthen its network of field engineers and provide greater customer support.

According to its website, MagnaServ was founded in 2000 and operates under the leadership of CEO Len Spooner and President & COO Gregg Pearson. Although based in Stuart, Florida, the company boasts a field service footprint in major metropolitan areas across the country.
“This has been a very exciting year for the BC Technical family.” said Mark Alvarez, president and CEO of BC Technical, in a statement. “We made a commitment to provide our customers the most cost-effective solutions paired with unsurpassed service, and part of that plan has been the ongoing strategic acquisition of companies that will allow us to be the only true alternative to the OEM.”
"We’re excited to join the BC Technical team and we’re confident that not only will they continue the level of service our clients have come to expect, but will take the organization to the next level," said MagnaServ's Spooner.
Earlier this year BC Technical completed acquisitions of
